The Urbane Society realizes the beauty of words and the inspiration that a picture provides. We are on a quest to get the words of 1,000 people. Select a picture of your choice and write a poem about it. It can be a short as Danny Devito and as complex as 3rd grade math! We do not expect everyone to be next Nikki Giovanni or Robert Frost, but we do expect your truth. Words are the liason between what the eyes see and what the heart feels. Many people waste words and ruin verbs, what purpose will yours serve?

I really don't consider myself a writer, only an ambassador of creativity and writing is my catalyst.Writing is the only way to document what the heart speaks and what the soul hears. To know the real me is to read between my lines and study the relationship between my world, my heart, and my mind. You will be confronted with a different voice in my head every time you read my work. Yes, I hear voices. You would too, if you listened to the pulse. I know I am crazy.
