Raechel Wong is a self-taught artist from Los Angeles, CA. She thrives in the visual arts, but also loves to play music and act. Growing up, she spent endless hours drawing on her own and gaining insight and inspiration from her parents as well as professional artists and mentors Patrick Tierney and Mary Lange. Though traditional media are her favorite, she also likes to dabble in digital arts, photography and graphic design. Specifically, she favors mechanical pencils and occassionally Derwent graphite pencils, but some of her best pieces have been done by basic No. 2 pencils. With little to no influence from other artists of photorealism (she attributes most of her inspiration to photos and vision through the naked eye), she is a fan of the works of Salvadore Dali, Jeff Thomas, Alan Lee and Erte.
