Who Are We
FriendsWithYou is an art collective founded by the Miami-based artists, Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III. Founded in 2002 and since its conception it has continued to promote its message of Magic • Luck • Friendship through its various means of creative expression and commercial activity.

What Do We Do
There are four primary avenues in which FriendsWithYou realizes its message of Magic • Luck • Friendship within popular culture.

Art: FriendsWithYou has carved out its own niche in the contemporary art-world by sharing its message of Magic • Luck • Friendship through its installations, performances, paintings, prints, sculptures, multimedia projects, and published works. These creative projects are the primary vehicle for FriendsWithYou to bring its vision to life.

These projects include, but are not limited to: Art Basel, 2005: Cloud City installation and performance; Project Fox Hotel, 2005: Fertility room, Harmony’s Helm room, King Albino rooms 1-2, Albino Fox car; Art Basel, 2006: Skywalkers blimp parade; Aventura Mall, 2006: Rainbow Valley playground installation; Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, May 2007: Wish Come True sculpture series;

Merchandising: Over the past four years FriendsWithYou has gained worldwide appeal through its artistic approach in creating playful pieces for everyone to enjoy. What started out as a simple sewing project has blossomed into a full operation creating the FriendsWithYou premium designer toy line, which can now be found in some of the top boutiques around the world. From this momentum FriendsWithYou have started working towards expanding its merchandising catalog.

These products include, but are not limited to: toys, stationary, art prints & publications, entertainment, multimedia items, fashion apparel & accessories, furniture & home décor; indoor & outdoor activity pieces

Licensing: FriendsWithYou is always seeking out new licensing partners to help it expand its presence within the marketplace. In the past FriendsWithYou has participated in licensing agreements to create products such as toys, fashion apparel, and publications.

Outside of the retail arena, FriendsWithYou also utilizes the format of a licensing partnership to develop certain artistic endeavors. One example of this is the public installation playground Rainbow Valley (2006) at Aventura Mall.

These different types of licensing opportunities are a primary focus for bringing the FriendsWithYou vision to life. Not only does FriendsWithYou wish to attract licensees that hope to expand its commercial and artistic mission, but it also plans to seek out desired opportunities that are inline with its overall vision.

Commercial Projects: FriendsWithYou has over 26 combined years of experience working alongside large corporations to help them develop and design various branding initiatives. Using its creative abilities and unique sense of style, FriendsWithYou has become sought after consultants and contractors within the fields of illustration, motion/animation, interior design, product design, graphic design, and installation.

Clients include, but are not limited to: MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Nike, Volkswagen, Toyota Scion, Redbull, Target, Sony, BMW, Mini Cooper, And1, Hasbro, and VitaminWater.

WHERE ARE WE GOING
FriendsWithYou is focused on spreading its culture across the globe by creating new experiences, objects, and ideas to be shared with audiences of all ages.

To achieve this magical movement FriendsWithYou will be collaborating with some of the most respected individuals and organizations within the contemporary art community, expanding its product catalog so that a wider audience can appreciate the FriendsWithYou magic, partnering with like-minded entities on commercial licensing deals to act as a catalyst in developing FriendsWithYou’s presence within the marketplace, and lending its creative touch to commercial advertising and marketing projects that appreciate the FriendsWithYou perspective.
