CM's Statement

I work in pencil, acrylics, steel, self expanding foam... Pretty much anything that gets the job done. Although the work I do varies in mediums, the concepts are always somewhat related. I draw a lot from my childhood and from my adventurous teen years. There was no fine line between play and mischief, or desire and greed. Everything seemlessly transformed into the world I now live in. I paint and illistrate objects that capture a stage of that transformation.

These are wooden butterfly knives I made. Theye were build by layering panels that I drew and cut on a cnc machine. The knife folds up like the real thing. Each knife stands 4 feet when opened.
