Shooting From The Hip:
“Shoot from the hip” is an American saying that has to do with the choice of a course of action. In most cases, the expression refers to a decision that is reached and implemented without stopping to consider the possible outcomes of the decision. From this perspective, choosing to shoot from the hip means going with first instincts and choosing to react quickly to a given situation.
I have always been intrigued with the concept of shooting from the hip, acting on instinct and impulse.
However I wanted to adapt the literal meaning of actually shooting from the hip with my camera, ever hour on the hour from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep in a 24 hour period (obviously not when I am asleep images will be just black) and see what images I do get if I did so.....and this is what I came up with.
