So I was recently hired to do a weekly comic strip in the UDReview. If you go to www.udreview.com and search Justin Sadegh it will bring you to a page where you can find the latest installments (and past installments) of "Experts at Nothing".
The story is very loosely based off of the lives of myself and my best friend, Dan Yuk. The two main characters are named Sam and Dan, I haven't decided yet if I am going to ever tell people which is which but I know and my friend knows. He does most of the editing for me and let's me know if what I'm putting out is quality. I thank him greatly for that.
The comics tagline is:
"Experts at Nothing" is a weekly comic strip that follows the lives of Sam and Dan. Their lives? About nothing. Why read it? 'Cause they're experts.
I am fairly proud of that tagline.
This is the first issue of the comic and what actually got me the job as cartoonist. I brought in a rough sketch of it to demonstrate what I could bring to the review and then they asked if I could have it finished by the following day. So I did and so was born issue/episode 1 - The Franchise.
The joke was born out of a joke I had made up before and was dying to find a way to use it. When I heard I would be interviewing for the job on the paper, I decided what better time to use such high brow humor? And that's how this issue came to be.
