An Art video which is also a study of movement. (It was made in a couple of days, so no sick boarding in it :P)

Made by Edgar & myself ( http://thefunkclothing.com), we decided to use skateboarding as our lab rat and try to observe how the body is used alongside the wooden board.

There is a type of symbiotic relationship between the athlete and this piece of wood.
At a certain point it seems that the board is part of his/her body, even if it's not attached at all. It's interesting to look at it from another angle.

When falling or missing a trick, I believe its like witnessing a break-up of sorts, all that was in such a perfect symbiotic relationship ... comes to an end...but only to begin again.

The question here is who's really attached to who? The board to the athlete? ...or the athlete to the board ?
